Treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies are performed, patients will be given further instructions. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.

What is an adjustment?

If a problem is noted in the joints of your spine, adjustments are used to care for the joints. A chiropractic adjustment is a very quick but gentle controlled pressure that is applied to a joint to restore the movable bones of your spine to a more normal motion and postion.

Adjustments do at times produce a popping sound, simular to that of a cracking knuckle, when the pressure in the joint is released. Bubbles of carbon dioxide within the joint cause the sound as the gas is released from the fluid surrounding the joints.

The goal of this corrective pressure (adjustment) is to return joints to their proper position, remove subluxations, and restore health to the nervous system. Doing this allows the nerves that originate from your spinal cord to properly transmit without interruption to every single cell in your body.

Treatment may also include physical therapies and/or soft tissue therapies
